Optimization for tablets
After downloading the GALAXY Tab emulator today, I tried all of my Apps on it.
And: it actually looked pretty good!
And: it actually looked pretty good!
Sudoku Solver and ProbabilityCalc had to be optimized and at least Sudoku Solver will be updated soon for big screens support. Furthermore, all of the home-made graphics don't look as sharp because I usually don't provide high-resolution images which is the next thing I will overdo in the future.... Here are the screenshots:

Introducing Function Inspector!
The last couple of month I've been working hard to get ready my new App "Function Inspector".
It features the ability to plot up to three functions, include a parameter, take screenshots and a very user-friendly UI! Here are the Screenshots:
It is published in two versions: LITE and PRO. The screenshots are of the PRO version. The PRO version is 0.99 Euro whereas the LITE version is free. With the LITE version you can only plot one Function at a time, you cannot toggle to fullscreen mode, the screenshots will have watermarks and it will contain ads ;)

2000 active installs exceeded!
After I published an update for Sudoku Solver yesterday, installation numbers, again, went up significantly. Those are my statistics right now:
IntegralCalc:
- 879 active installs (42%)
- Rating: 3.56 (9 Ratings)
- Admob: ca.26,000 impressions; CTR: 0.14% last 30 days
Sudoku Solver:
- 1123 active installs (52%)
- Rating: 4.28 (18 Ratings)
- Admob: ca. 49,000 impressions; CTR: 0.21%
ProbabilityCalc:
- 132 active installs (38%)
- Rating: 2.5 (4 Ratings)
- Admob: ca. 6,000 impressions; CTR: 0.30%

Well, as you can see, my last app, ProbabilityCalc, is not THAT successful^^ I've got one comment that says that the concept is hard to understand and it seems unfinished. Please email me if you have any concrete suggestions ;) But, honestly, I'm not working on improving it that much (I have not published any updates yet) because i don't consider it to be very important. I'm rather working on making my fourth app ;)
Sudoku Solver is a huge success. I'm very pleased with the download numbers, the ratings and the resulting earnings ;) Still, I have some improvements that I want to make step by step...
IntegralCalc is kind of finished^^ I have no recent bug reports and I think that it has all the functionality that you could possibly put into an integral calculator ;)

Two updates
Today, i published IntegralCalc 1.0.1 and Sudoku Solver 1.0. Those are the changes:
IntegralCalc 1.0.1:
I finally found the bug that caused it to crash for some people from the very beginning. It occurred when orientation was changed while the ProgressDialog was displayed. This is now fixed.
Sudoku Solver 1.0:
I made the solve-algorithm work more efficiently and therefore increased the speed, especially for Sudokus that are on high level. Furthermore, I added a French translation which I hope is somewhat acceptable ;)

IntegralCalc v1.0
This morning, I finished IntegralCalc 1.0! It is a major update since it improves the speed significantly. Furthermore, I have improved the design of the App. I also added an "About & Feedback" options menu which I will, step by stepp, include in all of my applications.

Introducing ProbabilityCalc
I just published ProbabilityCalc 0.8 which is the first version of my new App. It asks for certain events and then simulates 5000 experiments. So, it can calculate an approximate probability.

1000th user!
Yesterday, I exceeded the 1000 active installs with both Apps combined which seems like a good occasion to do a new statistic!
IntegralCalc:
- 606 active installs (50%)
- Rating: 3.375 (8 Ratings)
- Admob: ca.20,000 impressions; CTR: 0.26%
Sudoku Solver:
- 414 active installs (62%)
- Rating: 4.0 (8 Ratings)
- Admob: ca. 18,000 impressions; CTR: 0.21%
Even though IntegralCalc's impressions and CTR are slightly higher than those of Sudoku Solver, I already gained more money with Sudoku Solver. I'm also proud to announce that I already earned more that $5 ;)
IntegralCalc still does not seem to work for some people, but I'm unable to understand the error reports or finding the bug :( So if somebody gets an error, please give detailed information about your phone model, Android version and what you did before you got the error!
Future updates will improve the design of the Apps in order to make them more attractive. Solving the Sudoku puzzle I posted earlier could also help improving Sudoku Solver's speed.
Finally, I am planning on publishing my third App which, of course, is top secret ;)

Android Programming record
Almost four weeks ago, I published my first Android App, IntegralCalc. Five days ago, I published Sudoku Solver. Today, I want to present some numbers:
IntegralCalc
- 328 active installs (50%)
- Ratings: 3.3 Stars (6 ratings; received only 1, 4 and 5 stars)
- AdMob: ca. 9000 impressions, CTR: 0.31 %
Sudoku Solver
- 139 active installs (67%)
- Ratings: 3.8 Stars (5 ratings; received only 1, 3 and 5 stars)
- AdMob: ca. 2400 impressions, CTR: 0.34 %
So all in all, I think both apps started well and their download numbers are increasing steadily. Apparently, IntegralCalc does not work with all handsets which caused two 1-star-ratings. I also have error reports that I have not reviewed yet. Sudoku Solver had a bug when it was published which I already fixed, but it is the reason for one 1-star-rating^^

Improving Sudoku Solver
Hey,
I'd like to improve Sudoku Solver so that it can do more by logic and less by trying. In order to do that, I need information about how human-beings solve it by logic. So, if you like, I'd appreciate it if you would solve this one and let me know the answer ;)

Introducing Sudoku Solver
Hi,
today I want to introduce my new App "Sudoku Solver" to you. More than a year ago, I started to write a programm that could solve Sudoku puzzles. After months of leaving it unfinished, I finally completed it and put an Android UI on top of it. It solves Sudoku puzzles using the usual logic and a "try and check" algorythm that finishes it if it hasn't before.
Since yesterday, verion 0.9.1 is availiable on the Android market (after having to update 2 times because of a stupid bug^^).

Introducing IntegralCalc
Hello there,
I'd like to introduce IntegralCalc to you. It is a small Android App that calculates any definite Integral for you. Right now, it is at version 0.9.2 and therefore already received two Updates, adding an AdMob ad and a German translation.
It is available at the Android Market, but here are the screenshots ;) :

First Post
Hey guys,
this is the first post in my new Blog in which I will publish any information that might be important for the rest of the world ;)
For now, this will probably be about Android programming but maybe I will add other topics to it in the future...
